Meet Megan
Megan is a painter and teaching artist who has been working as an artist in the Twin Cities since 2002. She grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, earned her BFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and moved up to Minneapolis after graduating. Over the years she has done many different types of work as an artist, including workshops for with both children and adults on creativity and art making. You can see some of her mural work on E. Lake St. In addition to art making, Megan loves spending time outdoors and with friends and family, yoga and jogging, reading, and leaning into the small joys of life. Megan has two children who attend school in the Minneapolis Public School district, a wonderful husband, and two fluffy cats.
Megan believes in the power of art making to support individual development and self-validation. She loves learning about individuals through their art making, and is excited to lead projects that encourage awareness of both self and others because community involvement is another powerful source for support, growth, and meaning-making in this life.
